2018 was a monumental year for Los Angeles based collective, Low. They started making waves in the Leftifield House scene with their monthly party in downtown Los Angeles bringing in names such as Demuja & Never Dull, but also showcasing the talents of many local talented acts such as Ricky Tinez and Luke Mele (NTS2). Building on this momentum, Low ventured into the after hours scene booking Detroit legend Rick Wade for their first after-hours party. Since then they have thrown several after-hours parties with headliners such as Sweely and Grant. Capping off 2018 with their 1 year anniversary party w/Sweely they also released their first compilation giving birth to Low LA Records.
Low LA Records begins their 2019 with their first digital EP release from Los Angles based DJ/producer, Evade Robots. Hector Palacios, a bass guitarist for 19 years, is no stranger to music and draws his inspiration from his early influences from The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Massive Attack and more recently sounds from the legendary Low End Theory parties. EP title track, “Futures” is a dreamy Lo-Fi house track that’s simple yet sophisticated. Accompanied by a jazzy saxophone sample and bleep-bloops coming in and out of the track, ‘Futures’ will get you day dreaming about what’s to come.
Evade Robot’s ‘Futures EP’ is slated for release on Low LA’s Bandcamp on February 26th.
