DJ Deeon, DJ Funk, DJ Thadz, Paul Johnson and the entire Dance Mania crew pioneered a movement with Ghetto House from the windy city of Chicago in the early 90’s. Two decades later, the movement spread across the pond into regions of Europe such as Besançon and heavily influencing producers and labels such as Ghetto 25 and Thé Chaud Records in the process. Ghetto 25’s teamed up earlier this year with Asymmetrical’s Ghetto Culture (sublabel for Raw Culture) for a 4 track EP and is back at it again with Thé Chaud Records 3rd release titled ‘Booty Sexual EP’. 2nd Track, ‘Believe That (Pogba Mix)’ is a classic homage to Ghetto House with booty poppin’ four-to-the-floor beats machined to make you twerk. Rolling tom-tom’s and a whistle blowing all over an infectious vocal loop… legend has it that ‘Believe That’ got Paul Pogba to stop dabbin’ and start twerkin’.
