“Fresh off a string of self-released EP’s, Richmond-based, Jame Moorfield is set to release his second full-length album, Elsewheres. Elsewheres comes on Moorfield’s new personal imprint, Summers In The South.
After producing and remixing for labels such as Underground Audio (UK), Say Less Records (USA), and MadTech (UK), and receiving support from artists such as Demuja, and Danny Tenaglia, Moorfield continues to develop his house-centric sound with eleven tracks suited for deep thinking on the dance floor.
Elsewheres sees Jame return to a utilitarian 4×4 base while creating an expanse of club-ready instrumentations tinged with jazz, disco, and fusion. Exploring themes of home, departure, and stagnation, Elsewheres travels a bell curve, playing out in two unbroken parts with a blurred finish line. The first half builds a melancholic mood with coarse arps, and clean basses while the second offers liberation with funky rhodes progressions, warm vocal samples, and saturated basslines, before tapering back off into a feeling of peaceful uncertainty” – Summers In The South
