Stemming from the deepest corners of Los Angeles, Low harbors a communal party series on Main St. and 9th as well as a successful after hours featuring house legends such as Rick Wade. A year after their inauguration, the lo-fi peeps at Low are gifting a V/A compilation (via LowLa Records) for their anniversary featuring 16 tracks from producers scattered across the city of Angels, county of Orange and beyond. LA-based producer Ricky Tinez provides his ‘Tokyo (Black Tea Mix)’ with its earthy textures, streaming waters and bird chirps nestled under a volley of acid basslines and sub aqueous synths like experiencing LSD in the ever-scenic James Irvine Japanese Garden in Little Tokyo… the epicenter of Japanese greenery and flora in downtown LA.
Low V/A compilation is slated for 21 November 2018. Lows up-coming event featuring Lobster Theremin’s Sweely slated for Friday 16 November 2018.
