Analog Advisory Radio 023: Hywel Gregory

The founder and director of Bristol-based Eminent Audio and Eminent Agency, Hywel Gregory, joins Leezy for Analog Advisory Radio 023. Moving to Bristol in the early 2000s, Hywel quickly became immersed in the sound-system culture and began collecting jungle and early dubstep records. As a member of Apex Collective, Hywel held down a residency at one of UK’s top nightclubs, Motion, and also supported acts such as Groove Armada, Pete Tong, and Submotion Orchestra as a collective. In 2016, he founded his own club night, Eminent, which has now become an artist agency, label, YouTube channel, and also holding residencies with Noods Radio and 1020 Radio. In 2019, Eminent continues to push innovative dance music drawing influences from the 4×4 and broken beat scenes of NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Berlin, The Hague, Balearic Island, and Bristol. Not to mention the Eminent Foundation working with local charities taking social responsibility and seeking to make a positive affect in the world by focusing on mental health, climate change, and homelessness. Hywel does it all and does it well. Be sure to listen to his chat with Leezy, followed by a 1 hour guest mix.

This episode will feature track premieres from Slaqk (NC4K), Harvey Touch, Turenne (FUNCLAB Records), ACG (Open Sound), Derrick Da House (White Deer Records), and Etur Usheo (Vandelay).
